green|spaces on average hosts 2 - 4 interns per semester, assisting in a wide variety of programs/projects. Past projects have included supporting Empower Energy Savings Workshops through Community Outreach, green|light Business Support, Event Creation/Management, and Program Research.

green|light Recertification program

We are seeking an intern to assist in recertifying local Chattanooga businesses under the green|light program. Desired skills and qualifications include:

  • Majoring or minoring in a sustainability or environmental sciences field

  • Moderate knowledge of ESG and CSR principles and practices

  • Basic understanding of energy and water efficiency opportunities as well as third-party international green certifications

  • Located in Chattanooga with reliable transportation

  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Microsoft Office

  • Great organization and communication skills
