Christopher Dahl — Mayoral Candidate 2021 additional Integrated Community Sustainability Plan statements:

“Yes, I would adopt the goals but would recommend some changes to the strategies…

I think the plan lacks in areas. It also seems to want to privatize duties the city should carry out. It also failed to mention anything about the clean water act of the EPA agreement the city is locked into. It is vague when it mentions land trust. There is also no mention to address Urban sprawl. Also we have to understand that the city wont have a strong recycling program until the city rids itself from the abuse done by the private company that has control over our recycling centers. And the city should not be using code enforcement to attack homeowners. But slum lords and out of state landlords. I want to restructure the Chattanooga housing authority to address some of the housing issues that were listed and also to create a land trust for a tiny house community. There are several other things I would like seen done by the city's Housing Authority…

I would create an Branch of the Economic development center called the Neighborhood resource office that's sole purpose is to link neighborhoods with the resources of the city. Whether it be resources provided by an organization or the city. Also it is hard to see my response so if anyone wanted to talk more and get ideas and information from me feel free to call or Email me.”
